LESSONS (public & private)
Street Mahjong - this lesson is for social play and will introduce you to the game. We cover the tiles and card sections while allowing you to practice 'messy mahjong with towers' on an abbreviated card. We will discuss house or table rules. This is a perfect way to get the basics, learn a few of the rules and get to playing!
NMJL Mahjong - lesson covers official competitive play and will go into only nmjl rules on the official card sections and teach the deal, walls, charleston and the traditional method of mahjong. After this longer, more detailed lesson, you will be ready to practice for upcoming tournaments and leagues.
Additionally, we offer a 3-lesson weekly beginner series for a more detailed, slower-paced learning experience.
PRACTICE after lessons…
GUIDED PLAY - we will explore all sections of the NMJL card, offering instructor-guided practice to enhance your skills through our Mahjong classes.
Throughout all our Mahjong lessons, we will cover the NMJL rules and understand optional house rules. After completing these beginner classes, you will be ready to play!
All lessons are scheduled individually to fit your schedule and my availability, with morning, afternoon, and evening times available. We can meet at your place or mine—at home or in public. (A travel fee will be added for lessons outside of Bartow County)
ALREADY PLAY MAHJONG & looking for a group?
Join our Monthly SOCIAL CLUB for casual play at a variety of local public and private venues. Includes social and competitive table to choose from. You will be welcomed into our growing community of amazing players. Enjoy food and fellowship around our beautiful tables of tiles.
OR
Join THE MAHJONG LEAGUE for nationally ranked weekly tournament play and amazing prizes, with a chance to be the champion of the Mahjong Memories League or NW GA & compete in the national tournament.
Our Fall Season starts mid-September & has a morning or evening option
